I stared up at a most extraordinary night sky. Never in my life had I seen a moon of such rich hue. A noise like the buzz of a fly in a far off room grew louder and then a plane cast in golden moonlight appeared from behind the crest of the moon. I watched and listened as it flew overhead and vanished into the night. In the wake of the engines fading roar the plane's appearance struck me as an impossibility. 'Planes can't fly behind them moon,' I thought only to be overcome in the next moment by doubt. 'Or can they?'
