The Banana Garden - Digital Collage 6" x 4"

When I finally passed out of my awkwardness and started becoming a popular teenager in my sophomore year of high school, my mother took it upon herself to plant a banana garden. It didn't help when unbeknown to me she mailed out invitations for my sixteenth birthday to all my new friends. When I returned home from work at the grocery store that Saturday I came upon half the football team standing in my backyard snickering as my mother showed them her banana garden. "Boys," I heard her say, "Is there anything more pleasing to the eye than a big beautiful banana?" Well, you could have just taken me out to the garage right then and shot me.It's fair to say the remainder of high school days became a living hell.
